Matt took the kids to Chelan for Memorial Weekend, minus Bre and I who are home for a girls weekend. The boys are actually on a Charter Fishing boat as I write. Josh was SO EXCITED to go on this and to get some fishing in, he could barely sleep the days before- he's such an outdoors man!!! At dinner last night with Bre, I opened my fortune cookie at the end of our meal and it said "all things come to an end" that could have been taken as a bad thing but for me it was taken and a super good thing, not to be superstitious or anything but this pregnancy sickness should be coming to a halt here soon and thank goodness will it be to be back to a functioning human being! I haven't been blogging because it just makes the nauseousness that much worse and I try to avoid throwing up at all costs so being on the computer has been very limited. This morning, I was able to hold down my first breakfast so here I am catching up on the blogging world, not 100% but getting it done :) I'm also hoping to get some more organization done around the home front while the kids are gone, maybe some closets will get cleaned out and floors will get mopped??? The bare minimum has been done the past 2-3 months, much has been put on the back burner that needs a desperate revamp now. One thing at a time though, all in good time I suppose.
Dance/Drill Team try-outs were last week for the High School Mon-Thur. Tryouts were pretty intense, Bre was exhausted by the end of the week. So many girls quit mid point before Thursday's tryout date. Friday after school, results were posted. The girl's were all given a number that they wore the entire week that was linked to them so when the results were posted on the door, their number was the only thing there and Bre's number being #7 had made the team! It's going to be a pretty small team of only 15 girls, it's very dancey which Bre loves! There is Bre and her friend Aoife who made the team also, congrats girls...excited for a new high school experience next year as freshman dance/drill team members!
Victory Dinner~ after dinner Bre and I also went out for nails for her and a mani/pedi for mom...very relaxing indeed then hit Walmart for many necessities of life that we had ran out of, after that we stopped in to a friend Leslie's bridal shower and then picked up some goodies to watch a movie in.
Matt and the BIG 40! Matt's fav an Ice Cream Cake.
The Jackson Family joined us for a Saturday Birthday Breakfast to celebrate Matt's Big Day.
Matt picked out a new set of Golf Clubs for his birthday and went golfing with his boys and his mom (G-ma Cheryl) to give his new set a test run.
We had a family b-day dinner with some party games on the next day Sunday (his actual b-day after church.)
These kids were very competitive, totally a Jackson trait...
Not sure why none of our boys are wearing shirts...apparently we are very laid back around the home front :)
May all your wishes come true this year hon! Love you!!! XOXOX (We had planned a fancy hotel on the water front in Seattle but rescheduled it for our anniversary due to the pregnancy and sickness, figured we were safer to get away in another month or so when that part is over with.) But it was okay, we were able to attend the ward youth auction which was nice instead Sat night.
Mother's Day was good to this mom a few weeks back. Started off with breakfast in bed thanks to Matt and Ellie, (the kids got to help me eat it, it had been a rough night before so blander foods were sounding good to me.) I stuck with the pancake and eggs but with the help of the little ones the plate was sparkling clean after we were done and tummies were full. Matt also made a delicious steak dinner after church with all of the pre summer trimmings...it was very well though out! We met up with Grandma Jackson (Cheryl) and the Jackson's for dessert and Mother's Day wishes after dinner. It was a very relaxing Mother's Day for me.
Brooklynne was all set to head to Grandma's to see everyone!
The purple orchid Mother's Day Gift.
Ellie's Stake Activity Day Girls Hawaiian Event with the mom's.
Ellie with her ward friends and Gramma Conine.
Daddy took Brooke to her Pre School Field Trip with the Firemen, she was very excited to come home to tell me that she got to drive the fire truck all by herself!
Both of the pre-school classes.
Josh and the rest of the Reflections contest winners. Josh did a visual arts poster entitled "Be Anything" this year.
Roasting Hot dogs and Smores for dinner one night.
Josh is a "Die Hard" when it comes to camp fires, he was out there around the fire with dad until pretty late into the evening.
Spencer and his Pine Wood Derby Car this year. We call this one "Herat and Soul," I think it was actually the "Gold Gobblin" or something along those lines but the Derby was Easter weekend which happened to be the same weekend Matt was having an Open House and scrambling to finish up a home in Kent to get on the market with his Contracting Crew (so it was a busy one) poor Spencer and Matt were up until 2 am Friday night before the big Derby working on Spencer's car. It was actually supposed to be Green but something happened to the paint (they were up to Grandpa's Body Shop working on it.) Well, it didn't place in the top three but guaranteed the memories to the "race to get it done" and the heart put into this one will be forever!
It's now "OFFICIAL," no more training wheels at FOUR! We tried this last Summer and the confidence wasn't up to par but watch out now!
And she's off!
Bre's permanent peg tooth that was pulled as part of her ortho treatment a few months back. But look at that root!!! She has such a tiny mouth so after all of her permanent teeth had came in she ended up with this tooth on one side but no matching permanent tooth on the other side. She had a impacted molar in the way back so they pulled this tooth and the plan is to move all of her teeth on that side forward to fill the gap and make way for the molar. In the mean time, she has a fake tooth in it's place that is connected to her wires with a bracket so she doesn't have to look funny which is nice. Kind of sad to say good bye to a permanent tooth but it will make for a beautiful perfect smile after her two years are up with the braces phase.
Our neighbor Bob, he calls himself "Bob the Builder." He's been on a walker and wheelchair for a bit due to knee problems so we took him over a "get well basket" full of treats and a bundle of Popsicle sticks since he constructs homes, barns, bird houses, carousels, ect with Popsicle sticks with amazing craftsmanship. He was excited one day for us to come over to see him, he called for us as we went out our front door one day. He had made us a frame with the Popsicle sticks we had took over for him (he put a burnt effect with a torch on it.) We put it on our fireplace mantle with a picture of Christ in it that fits in it very well.
Easter Morning Cinnamon and Sugar Breakfast Pastry Log. We rised it over night and popped it in the oven in the morn, it was a cinch!
Good Easter Morning Kiddos!
The Easter Bunny Came! (If you look close, you can see the pic of Christ in Bob's fame I was mentioning about in the back ground:)
Coloring Easter Eggs.
Making Bunny Egg Holders at Grandma's.
Uncle Brodie, Matt and Grandpa all ready with their bags of EGGS to go hide em' for the BIG HUNT!
Bre, Jarom and Spencer...a hunting they shall go!
Spencer and a few of Ellie...she's going to be thrilled of the one where she's caught in a tree...
Jaxon and Jillain and Brooke. In the end, Spencer Mr. Detective was the lucky winner of the Golden $100.00 egg.
Brooklynne and her friends at Emily's b-day party.
The Rhododendrons in Sumner in full bloom are so beautiful!
So pretty!
I have completely lost count on how many baby showers I've attended and helped out with this past year...let's just say major baby booming has been happening around here. The Lord is certainly hastening his work sending these spirit children to be raised in good families! This one was one of the cutest, Stephanie Sasser's twin Boy-Girl shower, super sweet right?!
Windmill Garden's Pre School Field Trip.
The kids had a fun tour around the gardens and green houses and even got to plant their own flower to take home at the end of the afternoon event.
The McClellan Girls were in town, so after the field trip to the Windmill Garden's we met up at Red Robin for lunch with the girls, they should have never moved...they are so much fun to be with- it was great to see them again! Cheese~
