My B-day morning, I came down stairs to a fun surprise to an all decked out 40th B-day Decor via Matt and BreAnna.
The decorations were very sparkly and fun!
BreAnna made the cupcakes...I knew something was cooking the night before since I smelt oven fumes and it was past midnight. Bre said that she had to make something for her Leadership class but I was uncertain why she had to wait until midnight to decided to start her cooking in the kitchen...it soon made sense when I woke up.
Matt ordered Olive Garden Catering, it was a yummy dinner!
Brooklynne came home from school thrilled to tell me that I shared the same B-day as Dr Seuss!
So Bre cooked the cupcakes and Matt frosted them the following morning, we will give them an "A" for effort!!!
It took the long matches to get all of these candles lit!

I needed assistance from Josh to get all of these 40 candles blown out, too funny! So Matt and I planned to do a bit of shopping on my b-day so Matt took the day off of work. Before we were able to get out of the house, Matt got a phone call from his project manager that his truck had broke down in Puyallup down Meridian (when he was pulling Matt's encased construction trailer) apparently his brakes had gone out and the brakes on the trailer went into gear and saved him from a big accident so I guess it was a good thing he was pulling the trailer. Anyways, so we had to go rescue him and drop off Matt's truck so he would have a truck to haul everything until his truck was able to be towed and fixed so I had to follow Matt over. That wasn't a real big set back, instead of heading into Auburn to go shopping we just decided that we would go to the South Hill mall since we were headed that direction, no biggie. Well, Matt had a quick stop he needed to make to Lowes to pick up a gasket part and then we'd be on our way shopping. While Matt ran into Lowes, I stayed in the car with Saydee. When he was inside, Saydee had a major blow out diaper, it was bad...horrible, she was covered. But I'm a mother that always comes prepared in the baby emergency dept so I had an extra pair of clothes and plastic bags so after about 50 baby wipes and a change of clothes, she was good to go. The car probably smelt horrible but it was all taken care of before Matt got back to the car, well so I thought...I went to put Saydee back into her car seat and she proceeded to throw up all over herself, me and the car. I literally had to laugh, I had no clue where to start. Everything was covered. So off her clothes went and this time, we only had an extra onesie to dress her in. Thank goodness for that brand new pack of wet wipes, I went to town scrubbing her, me and the car cleaning up the mess...and if I thought the car smelt bad before, oh boy did it ever smell bad now! When Matt was finished up in Lowes and came back to the car...I waited for it and it didn't take long at all..."what is that smell?" I had a story to tell him alright! Needless to say, the flu bug put a damper on shopping plans but thankfully Saydee held out in the throw up dept until right after we arrived home. I saw it coming up and grabbed her to hold her out the door to do her job on the grass. Poor baby she got the very sickest out of all of us, I have no clue how many numerous times she threw up all day long. This flu bug was a bad one and hit every last nine of us, one after another...there was more throw up than I'd ever want to see that week and a half! It was rough but we survived :) and so happy and thankful to be back to our normal healthy selves now. On a side note, Ellie was a trooper and watched Saydee my bday night. I felt terrible leaving them but Matt and I had movie tickets that we had pre-purchased so they convinced me that everything would be just fine if we still went, so we did. Ellie did count though and Saydee threw up five times when we were gone, poor baby...and poor Ellie.

We went through a lot of towels with this little one.
There was so much laundry to be done after everyone was sick because who wants to sleep in sick germy sheets and bedding after the flu?!
Ellie text me these pics when we were out to our movie.
