A TRUE PUMPKIN SMILE

Happy October 1st, 2008 Alls I want for Christmas is my TWO FRONT TEETH!
So now it's official that Ellie has no front teeth, I think she looks quite cute.
Ellie had me take this picture of her with her doll since she said it was her dolls birthday, we had to give the picture like three tries since Spencer the stinker kept on sneaking in to the picture right before I took it and Ellie insisted on him not being in the picture.
Even though a "NO, NO,"this is one of Josh's favorite places to play (on top of the pool table.) I'm sure dad will be thrilled upon seeing this picture because he will think I'm encouraging Josh. A few other photo requests via. Ellie as her and Josh play and pose for a picture. I didn't quite get this one, a few weeks back they each held up their age in fingers when sitting amongst a pile of stuffed animals? Ellie made Josh a back pack of his own and had him pose for his "first day of school." He had a helmet full of snacks for play-school, very clever Miss Ellie.
And yet another, Josh's bed made by Ellie...nice and comfy!Ellie and Josh really are good friends. It's cute because when the kids get home from school, Ellie is the first name you hear out of Josh's mouth and he runs to give her a hug. They love to play!

Turkey Day Came Early

September 29, 2008
Ellie getting the Turkey Dinner table set.
Our ward has three missionaries and we had them over for dinner last night. As I was torn over what to make for dinner when they came over, Matt said "make a turkey!" Since we will be away for Thanksgiving this year and I cook a turkey every year some time during the festive season, I thought what better opportunity! It worked out good since my parents were in town tending to Tracey's kids I had them bring Nathan & Lydia over for dinner to join us while Tracey & Jon enjoyed a more quiet Sunday evening to themselves with the new baby.
Checking to see if the BIG BIRD is finished. Isn't this the coolest ear of corn? We had a few of them like this that the Erickson's sent home with us from their garden, mama & baby ears I guess. Cute huh? The kids had fun husking theses ones inparticular!
All Done, mmmm...I have to admit, this was the moistest turkey ever, it was really good! That's always a good thing when the most important part of the meal turns out, dry turkeys are no fun! Looking forward to turkey noodle soup and turkey sandwiches. Turkey leftovers are the best. Carving the Turkey.
Turkey Time with all the trimmings! I took a few really cute pics of all the kids with the three missionaries but when my cameras batteries are going dead, it pretty much remembers the pictures it wants to remember so we lost those ones, so sad! The missionaries gave the kids a really cute lesson on repentance and used symbolism from The Cars Disney movie. How lightning McQueen was speeding and ruined the towns road & got his all dirty covered in tar and how he had to fix the road to make things right and then afterwards he got all clean w/ a new paint job, wheels, ect. It was a really cute take on it! So after the missionaries left for the night, guess what movie the kids wanted to watch? Yep, you guessed it! CARS.
The kids table, Jarom got to sit at the big peoples table this time.
Say "Turkey" kids!

Baby Boy Erickson

Brock Noble Erickson
8'-10 oz. 21 & 1/2"
Tuesday September 23, 2008 12:55am

We went to visit my sister Tracey & Jon last night (Thursday) in Enumclaw to see & hold the newest addition to their family. They named "HIM" Brock Noble Erickson & boy is he ever a doll a baby, he's so sweet and such a good little fellow...very content at this stage in the game! Maybe only being two whole days old, its kinda hard to tell quite yet though. They kept the fact that he was a he hidden from everyone including themselves, they had the ultrasound but they didn't want to know until he was born, it kinda made it funner that way. Plus already having a boy & a girl I guess they figured they had all they needed for each already. Every ones guess was a boy and we were all right! So very happy news! They went into the hospital around 9:30pm Monday night and Brock was born at 12:55am that night (technically the next morning.) Tracey's water had broke at their home and from what we hear the delivery went pretty much picture perfect, smooth deliveries are always good to hear. The whole family is thrilled especially Nathan and Lydia, now that their new baby brother is finally here! Congrats & we are happy he's arrived healthy & happy!

Leah & Charlie Sealing Pictures

Can't believe how much little baby David has grown and changed in just a few short months. (The last time we saw my sister and her family was over the 4th of July, you forget how much they change at such a young age.) Thought these pics were cute, can't wait to see everyone over Thanksgiving!

DRIBBLE, KICK, SCORE

BREANNAS' FALL SOCCER
September 21, 2008

Goalie Action

Soccer season is under way, here's some pics of BreAnnas last two games. (It's not until we try to take pics of the kids sports that I remember how the zoom on my camera isn't the best.) So, all of Bres games are bright and early on Saturday mornings, she has to be at the field at 8:45am...BreAnna is not exactly an early bird & she's less than thrilled about her game times so that's the only draw back. (We try our best to have her get to bed on the earlier side Friday nights, but that's always a challenge.) Besides the early Sat. morning game part, she's having fun with it and it's keeping her active so that's a good thing. This year BreAnna is playing for AYSA (Auburn Youth Soccer Association) her coach who she's had for the past three years, this will be four changed leagues from the park and recs to AYSA, so she followed him so she could play with her friends. She's been playing goalie quite a bit. Matt took her to her last game (it was raining pretty hard Sat. morning and I just couldn't battle the weather w/ the little ones so I didn't get to go.) I heard that the other team didn't score on her when she played goalie so that's a good thing. On her first game, her team scored two goals and BreAnna scored one of them- so she's doing good so far, keep up the good work lucky #7!
JAROMS' FALL SOCCER
Just the beginning...Jarom #4 is still playing through Auburn Park and Recs since all of his friends have continued on through them. With four practices between our two soccer players a week, it's always fun...(mostly keeping the younger ones happy and entertained.) The park & recs started practicing later than Bres AYSA so their first game wasn't until yesterday, so not too many pics due to the rain! The majority of his games are at 12:00 in the afternoon so he's wide awake and ready to play for his! Their jerseys are blue this year which made Jarom happy, not to mention they match his blue soccer cleats...how convenient! Matt said that Jarom played really good & better than he's ever seen him play yesterday & he scored a goal as well, he said he dribbled and handled the ball well. Soccer is Jaroms sport of choice for sure so I'm glad to hear his first game went well, he's a fast runner which always helps in the sport since soccer requires a lot of running! He was really looking forward to his first game and now he's all ready for next Saturdays game, I on a side note will keep my fingers crossed for NO RAIN. If it does rain, maybe me & the kids will just have to toughen up, put on our rain gear and grin and bear it, it wouldn't be the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last, we live in the Seattle we should be used to it right?!

The Skys The Limit!

It's a Bird, it's a plane, no it's our Joshie-Man!
September 18, 2008
I'm always in awe how observant that this little fellow is, there is seriously no tricking him! I know I've mentioned the fact that he just doesn't take "no" for an answer in previous posts. He won't stop at no, if he thinks he wants to get something or accomplish it...seriously in his little wee toddler boy eyes, the sky is the limit! With persistence, he will figure a way out. If and when he gets into the older kids" stuff", I simply tell them to just stick it up where Josh can't get into it! Well it's not exactly that easy, Josh will pay attention to where they stick their "stuff" up at and when nobody is looking, being the avid climber that he is-he'll go find chairs, stools, tables or even combinations of a few to get himself up to where he wants to be to get the "stuff" back! If I only knew what goes through that little brain of his to know what he is thinking at times. The other day when Josh was outside playing, he saw a spider up above the window ledge (the spider was up way higher than anyone in our family could reach) he ran right into the kitchen, pushed the step stool over to the silverware drawer, climbed up and pulled out the longest spoon he could find then he ran back outside because in his little mind with that spoon for sure he'd be able to reach that spider! I thought it was so funny. Another example, at church on Sunday- when he was playing with his honeycomb cereal (that we brought for him to snack on) he was acting like it was a car racing along the back side of the bench in front of us and he accidentally dropped a piece over the bench so he started running down our aisle so he could race around the bench to go get his piece of cereal in front of us. Being the clumsy boy he is, of course he trips and falls over the feet of other people sitting in our aisle on his way down, then he gets up ready to race off again but proceeds to then hit his head on the bench, but no... that didn't stop him, a lady actually grabs him thinking that he's just running off with out us wanting him to, all of us got a kick out of it because we knew he'd be back, he just wanted to run around the bench to go get his piece of cereal...he was a man on a mission! Speaking of the sky is the limit, Josh just loves airplanes! He spots them out of no where and he is the first to point them out to us when we are outside. When we were at Ocean Shores over the summer, we let the kids all pick out a souveneer and what did Josh pick out but a little airplane, he just loved that little thing...very fitting for his personality.

Weekend Wildflowers

September 15, 2008

On our way home from the park with the kids last night, we stopped to admire all of these fun wild flowers that we've seen from the road near our home. It was a very pleasant & beautiful evening, the moon in the distance was so pretty!

Fishing Five-some

FISHING FIVE-SOME FEVER!
Gary, Matt, Michael, Jarom & Spencer
September 13, 2008
Matt & Jarom had such a good time fishing last week with the boy scouts that late Saturday afternoon they made a trip over to the Puyallup River again, this time they took Spencer and Matts brother Michael & Dad. They fish in a friends back yard who lives on the river where it's pretty shallow & smooth. Despite that this round they didn't catch anything & they came home frozen to the bone, they all said they had a fun time. It was my dad Noble Scotts b-day Saturday as well and anyone who knows my dad knows that he LOVES to fish...so even though he's in Idaho, he was thought of in mind & the guys even celebrated by doing a little fishing themselves!
