Last week it was a particularly rough morning with this "all-day-morning sickness" with the pregnancy so Matt decided to take Brooke and Josh (who was home from school but not sick just home with a random rash on his face) anyways the kids were off to run errands with their daddy at Lowes'. As Matt was getting a question answered from a Lowes' worker Brooklynne apparently tripped and fell on a metal shelving unit and cracked her head open. After a few attempts from Josh to interrupt Dad's conversation, Matt looked over and saw Brooklynne covered in blood. It took a bit to process it all in and to figure out where the blood was coming from, Brooklynne freaking out not that her head was hurting but because she was embarrassed at how she looked covered in blood, she wanted it off. Her poor fluffy pink coat was covered and being a head wound there was a lot. After Matt narrowed down that the blood was stemming from her head, he applied pressure with his hand to stop the bleeding. The Lowes' staff was very nice and helpful with towels and water and candy bars for the kids, one nice Lowes' worker actually rode in the back of the car to sit next to Brooke on the way to the hospital to make sure she was okay. They got her right into the ER and the doctors said that she was a "Rock Star" didn't cry at all with the numbing shots or staples being put in. Good thing her hair covers the accident wounds, she is so self conscious and embarrassed about the whole thing and the fact that she has staples in her head. She gets the staples out Friday which she is super excited about because with this nice weather we've been having, the doctor ordered no swimming pool or hot tub until they are out and she is ready to hit the water!
