Happy 45th Matthew!

May 18, 2019
The Birthday Guy, happy happy hon! 45 and looking better than ever :) This man is hard-working, loving, a think-outside-of the boxer, dedicated, strong, a risk taker, spiritual and an all around awesome hubby and dad!!!
The boys really took the Hula Game on a serious competition note, it was a lot of fun!
Since Hawaii or any other tropical location wasn't in the cards for Matt's Birthday this year, we decided to bring the paradise to him with a luau theme.
Loving the fresh fruit season!!!
Only stipulation, he had to cook...well smoke the Ribs :)
Brooklynne and Dad had matching Hawaiian attire from a planned Daddy Daughter Date, they looked so cute! The boys and I went shopping for some bday gifts, they insisted that we picked out some actual decent shoes from an athletic store at the mall. They said that their dad only ever buys shoes at Ross and it was time we got him some decent shoes, ha ha...(that's teenagers for you!) We decided on Champs and picked out some nice Nike running shoes and another pair of Nike's that he can just wear around town (neither of which he's allowed to wear to work...anything nice that he wears to work always ends up getting messed up, not that he does a whole lot of the physical labor in his business since he mainly just does bidding and estimates but when managing jobs his days are unpredictable what he may encounter...paint, dry wall mud, a dump run...you never know!)
I can't get this clip to rotate so it'll have to do sideways since I didn't take any other pics of it but I finally spruced up our back balcony off of our bedroom for Matt for his b-day, I hung some outdoor lights also so it looks fun in the evenings.
The day before Matt's Birthday party (well I guess it was his actual birthday Sat the 18th), the adults on his side of the fam went to Daniel's Broiler for a good steak dinner to celebrate the man of the day.
The sky line in Bellevue was so pretty with a full moon on his b-day! Another birthday year in the books, let's make this year the best one yet :)
Also May 18th was a very special day for this lil' handsome guy, Mr Levi- the kids cousin was also baptised on Matt's birthday. A big congrats to him and Mike and Ashley (the parents) with their first child to be baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day Weekend, May 2019
My favorite people...The fam treated their mom like a Queen on Mother's Day. Good Food and fun presents...I am very blessed to have such an amazing hubby and kids! Breakfast for dinner is always a fam tradition on Mother's Day, it was super yummy and the meal pulled out all stops with a little bit of everything delic in the breakfast for dinner dept!
The girls steered their dad in the right direction this year, the blessings of having older girls...they found a lot of matching coordinating items for our kitchen decor, no pics of those but it was fun to open all of the matchy light blue items that fit so nicely with the decor we have going in the kitchen.
It was fun to see the fam working so diligent in the kitchen.
I found this dress on a whim when I went shopping with Bre when she went to find some fun dresses (the Thursday evening before Mothers Day) on our way home from signing paper-work registration for her fall college Esthetics Course at Evergreen. We decided to bypass some of the traffic and kill a bit of time at the mall on our way home so Bre could find some dresses for her Arizona trip. Anyways, when I was helping Bre look, this dress caught my eye and I tried it on and it fit perfect...but needed a sweater to go over it or a shirt to go under to make it work and since we were in a hurry, Bre was like...don't worry I will have something that will work to go over it at home. (Yeh' have we all seen Bre's closet, not much that you can't find in there on a serious note.) So come Sunday Mother's Day morning, I saw this shall in my closet (I had gotten it on another whim at the mall on a clearance rack a few months earlier with matching earrings and a necklace being drawn to them and the fun hot pink colors) I felt that I'd be able to make it work with a outfit sometime...well what do you know? Whallah...moment of perfection! It all came together and it was a match made in heaven for a nice Mother's Day outfit, then look at those flowers...you'd think we planned it all to coordinate!
Matt's Cousin Lisa Martinsons remarried Anthony Smith the weekend of Mother's Day this year. It was a fun free spirit theme of Riding Motorcross which is the bride and groom's passion. They really made their wedding their own which was different and unique but totally them. Lisa found a really good guy, one that loves her for her and treats her really well so we are all very happy for her, they really do make a perfect couple.
Saydee found a friend and boogied down the dance floor! She was kinda accident prone during the course of the evening, she literally fell like five times...good thing this mom always comes prepared with bandaids handy in her purse :)
