Here's a handful of the first half of April 2017 happenings...
Over Spring Break, we were on the sick side of the spectrum will a plethora of illnesses lurking among our family members so thank goodness we didn't have big vaca plans but towards the end of the week, we were all well and good enough to hit some of our local attractions around the great northwest. We toured the Lemay Car Museum in Tacoma which was really neat to do, loads and levels of cars galore! We all choose our favorites or if you are Josh many and many of our favorites, he's such a car lover...it's in that kid's blood.
Josh's pinewood derby is amongst us in the next few weeks ahead, it was fun to see some of the very first and background on the derby!
The History of the Harold an Nancy Lemay and how the museum got it's name...the cars were donated by these collector and car lovers, very neat!
After our tour, it was time for snacks and dinner at the cafe.
Being in Tacoma, our next stop was the Tacoma Mall. Josh and Brooklynne were excited to go to Build a Bear Workshop to adopt new pets.
Josh picked a dog, J-Dog$ is his name, lol.
Brooklynne choose a bear and named her Belle since she choose a Belle Dress from Beauty and The Beast.
Time to clean and bathe their babies. Josh and Brooke also made Bears for Saydee (who was fast asleep in her stroller) and Ireland (a white bear with white dress to give to her for her baptism.)
When Saydee woke up for her nap, she was surprised to Miss Violet the Bear...all smiles for her new baby!
Out to dinner to Claim Jumpers and bowling.
What a good looking group of kids!
Good Food and Good Times!
Josh was more than thrilled the minute we drove into Acme Bowling Parking lot in Tukwilla, he saw his dream car! An orange Lamborghini. As he was admiring it with goo goo eye and taking pics of it, the owner came back to his car and told Josh to jump in...yes, into the DRIVERS SEAT! Talk about a dream. He had a minute of heaven and before he left he told Josh to follow his dreams...what a nice guy.

The kid's cousin Ireland was baptized, so sweet...Jill and Brooke are next this coming year, so not ready for this, little Brookie is growing up too fast!

Ellie and her Dance Drill Team at the Spring Daffodil Parade's, Tacoma, Sumner, Orting and Puyallup...a fun day event of multiple parading around towns!
Ellie on the parade route in Sumner.
Bre was pretty proud of her mid night craving for stir fry she made one weekend night.

Spencer attended a hearing for the Sumner School District in the proposition to change it's name to the Sumner/Bonney Lake School Dsitrict. It was an interesting hearing and we (Spencer and I) attended coming in not having a huge view on either side of the issue, with the history then financial end and such it would make sense to leave it as is but I also know that Bonney Lake covers a huge portion of the district with more schools and students than Sumner with growth/change then many funds coming from those families living on the hill. After attending,we found out that there are no other schools in Washington besides three very small districts that have changed the history of their names for this same reason. (The three school districts had only like on elementary school joining another high school from another dist to make up the hyphenated district name.) I realize Bonney Lake is just wanting some recognition but oddly, there were no BL residence at the hearing attending to represent the need and want for the change but there were BL residences there to defend the history of the Sumner District title along with a handful of other Sumner Alumni and families. After the hearing, Spencer and I concluded we feel it's not necessary and let's keep the history, don't change a good thing and let's put our focus and money on more pressing issues and matters :) We will see what ends up happening on this! (This was one of the requirements for his Citz in the Community Merit Badge for Scouts :)
