She's Arrived!

Saydee Alyssa Jackson
December 2nd, 2014
8:28 am
7 lbs 9 oz, 20 1/4" long
Isn't she a precious bundle?! Can't believe she is actually here and has officially joined our family, we are all "awe" struck.
Saydee had her three day check up this morning and was down to 6 lbs 12 oz but now that her "mama's milk" has officially came in as of last night (ouch may I add...) we expect that her weight will go right back up :) Welcome to the world Miss Saydee, so glad you are here and healthy (just a little...well okay a lot gassy, poor fussy baby girl...poor sleep deprived mom and dad:) nothing we didn't anticipate though.

The Story of Saydee (September 26, 2013- after her birth looking back today on February 25, 2105)

September 26, 2013 Where to start, where to start...so for about a week maybe even two weeks before the kids started school back in August when I would have quiet moments to myself (which clearly were few and far between with all of the kids home for summer break) when I wanted nothing more to do but to be able to sit back and relax or better yet fall asleep, something was nagging at me. A nagging feeling that I just couldn't put my finger on, at first I thought well maybe it's just a bit of anxiety with a whole set of "news" amongst us with high school and seminary for Jarom, then Ellie joining Bre with the middle school thing and Brooke off to her first year of preschool and swinging in the elementary kids and activities so I settled on that for the time being. BUT who was I kidding, we are used to the juggling in of "news" and adventures in our family...not much had really changed once we got into our new school routine. After school and activities were under way, in the quiet moments of my day pretty much in the evening...same thing, that nagging feeling, it was really starting to annoy me- at one time I even thought well, maybe it's just a hormonal thing or my hormones being wacked out...after all I am 37 and getting older. I had been praying about this feeling and I came to the conclusion that I was definitely trying to be told something which was fine and dandy but what was I supposed to be told or do? Thinking back on when the spirit had told me something (in one very distinct time in my past, I felt like this for a short time in the course of only a morning, whole different story but it was a warning of danger from the spirit that later became very clear to me, speaking of which I have needed to write about this experience, I will soon for journaling purposes even though it's been like two years. It is however a experience that I hold very close to my heart and one that strengthened my undoubtable testimony of the truthfulness of the spirit and how the Holy Ghost is not just a gift and blessing that comforts and prompts but also protects.) Okay, my point being is that I had never felt like this for weeks at a time so it's not like I would feel like this in the course of my day every minute but when I would slow down, not thinking of the feeling at all, there it would appear out of no where. So after expressing this feeling to both Matt and my BFF Wendy, I decided okay it's probably time to come to a conclusion of what I am supposed to be told or doing here, many thoughts and ideas ran through my mind, was it someone I needed to go visit or reach out to (didn't think so much because generally those promptings are just that I feel I need to visit or call or reach out to them, easy and simple as that then I do it.) I have learned to never disregard those feelings or promptings as long as they are a kind or generous a gesture, I can never go wrong. So what else- was I needing to work on my family history? They have been really stressing the family history thing and my patriarchal blessing speaks of that area a lot, the kids are getting a bit more self sufficient maybe it was time to really go to town of our genealogy and temple work, then maybe it was something different, like something with one of our kids or Matt with work, maybe it was a new church calling or possibly we would be moving soon? So I prayed some more, I was wanting an answer in the course of my prayer when I lie awake at night not able to sleep with this same nagging/uneasy feeling. Of course we don't always receive answers to prayers when we want or expect them though right? I've learned that prayers are answered in many ways and generally the spirit speaks to us in the course of every day life activities and we will hear these promptings or whispers if we are in tune and listening. So Friday I dropped Brooke off at her preschool for her 2.5 hour block (where she goes twice a week) and headed to our local Fred Meyer here in town to pick up some groceries for the fam for the weekend. I drove our big van since Matt had taken my usual get around car (our Yukon XL) with him to work since he had to make a Home Depot run. When I pulled in the parking lot I noticed a big white van just as long as ours pulled into pretty much a compact parking spot and I remember thinking to myself that would not be me. I love to drive the van, it drives so nice and smooth- it's super easy to drive but parking is a whole different ball game! I park way out in the lot, I have to walk a bit but much easier not to have to worry about backing up or pulling out of a tight parking spot. So I parked the van, found my way in to the store, I got what I need and made my way to the check out line. In front of me checking out is a cute family, I tried my best to count and I think they had eight children they must have been home schoolers since it was a a school day and the kids ranged in ages from young to old but the entire fam was grocery shopping together. My corn bag had ripped (I guess that's what happens when I try to stuff too many ears in one plastic bag) and the parents helped me pick up the ears of corn that had fallen to the ground, they seemed to be very friendly people. After they checked out and were on their way, it was my turn and the checker lady started talking about this family and how the mom always comes in with all of the kids but it was nice to see the dad who had came in this time with them and how the children are always so well behaved. The checker had mentioned that she wanted to go home with them to see if they were all that well behaved at home as well, I thought it was cute. I also mentioned to her that you see that a lot with larger families where the children tend to be well behaved when out in public. So we bagged the groceries up, I paid, grabbed my receipt and headed on my way out the door when all of the sudden, literally like a ton of bricks, it hit me...a overwhelming realization and answer to my prayers came on as an instant clarification and knowing that we supposed to have another child. The feeling came to my heart and my mind and it was so strong that I started to cry (I tried my best to hold back the tears as I walked through the parking lot past the family with all of the kids loading themselves into that big white van then also passing others along the way so I wouldn't look like a wreck) but the tears continued for at least an hour, my whole car ride home, as I brought the groceries in and put them away and until I went to go pick Brooke back up from preschool. I wasn't sure if I was crying so much because of the witness from the spirit that I had received or because an addition to our family was the complete last thing that I thought this "nagging" feeling was stemming from. You'e got to understand something here, before this I knew that we were done with the baby making years, I was emotionally, physically and mentally FINISHED having children! We had our family of six children, they are pretty much around two years apart (Jarom and Bre are 15 mos who are our closest.) When we had Brooke, I knew she was going to be our last so I did everything as cutesy and fun as I wanted, I went all out to get my fill and to know I did everything to a "T" so I wouldn't look back in the years to come and feel like I wish I had done something different, I loved the baby years with Brooklynne, soaking and enjoying each stage to the fullest knowing from experience that the years roll by ever so quickly. The pregnancy months completely different story, Brooklynne did my body in- much has changed with my body since I've had her. It was a rough pregnancy for sure, I'll spare the details. So many thoughts are going through my head, I seriously didn't know what to think besides the question of was I loosing my mind?! I'm not exactly a young spring chicken here if I thought Brooklynne's pregnancy was rough I haven't gotten any younger in the last four years, needless to say that by the time we have another one that the last two will be five years apart. If I was going to have another one in my right time fame it would have happened two years ago. Everyone around me is having babies, I've been throwing baby showers and helping with them right and left and it's been great...not as much as an itch to have another one myself, so done with the whole nursing, baby diapers, crying, up all night stage not to mention we are in the high school years now, starting over from stage one totally freaks me out. So, it took a bit to come to means and to digest what I was going to do with this information and witness that I received. Before our crazy busy Saturday hit in, as I was walking the treadmill I prayed to Heavenly Father telling Him, okay you know I will do what I am told to do...I will have to have a lot of faith that everything will be just fine and work out which we've done before as a family, nothing like a leap of faith. But before I ran this bit of information past Matt, I was wanting a little bit more just some sort of confirmation that I wasn't just entirely loosing my mind and needed to join the nutty farm or something. Saturday was packed, we had work to do in Tacoma with the flip house, Super Saturday, I was doing concessions at a Wolf Pack game, a Football game Bre was cheering at, Jarom had a friend sleep over the night before that we had to get ran back home, we hit the Puyallup fair in the evening to get Bre to a Austin Mahone concert then Matt and I enjoyed a childless evening at the fair. Then Sun morn I had to drive into Bonney Lake to pick Bre up from a friends home since she had went home with her after the concert for her b-day sleepover, then I brought her back home and got the fam situated and instructed on finishing prepping for church and off to my ward council meeting I went, I had sharing time Sunday and since Matt was just called into the Young Mens program, so for YMs they had a Scout meeting after church (had we planned better we should have drove two cars.) But that left all of us up at the church for the duration of his Scout Com mtg. Being the last ward for the day in the building it wasn't so bad that all of the kids were playing around in the primary room, on the piano, pretending to give talks in the microphone, but I was trying to contain them all in the primary room because I didn't want them running around the church building on a Sunday. So I counted the kids like three times, I felt like some one was missing and it looked like one of the kids was missing but sure enough all six of the kids were in the room and then it hit me again, ok, okay already...point made, someone is missing, I get it. I was not indeed loosing my mind. Now to tell Matt, so Sunday night after the kids went to bed and Matt and I were laying in bed I laid it out on the line, tears all over again and retold the events of the past few days. Matt was in as just as much shock as I was, him thinking of the financial end of another child and how it just doesn't make sense realistically to us right now. When I expressed the fact that what will everyone think if we get pregnant again? Only because it's been a known fact that we are finished, I am thinking that everyone will look at another child as an accident. Of course he said it doesn't matter what everyone thinks so that made me feel better and that the reality of another family member was soaking in. We've always done our own thing, we do what we feel is best as a couple and as a family. We follow the spirit and by doing so we have never been led astray and we have been blessed in many different ways which makes for a happy life, marriage and family. Not perfect or free from the trials of life but very blessed and happy. As Br Brower (a stake council member) told our ward, we try our best to make the rocks in our life stepping stones, not stumbling blocks. Needless to say that we are one day shy from a week of this initial realization/witness from the spirit of what the "nagging" feeling had been and I have not felt the feeling at all since, the napping-feeling like I was supposed to be doing something or figuring something out is completely gone. Now I guess we know what we are supposed to do, time to get busy and see what the future holds....On a random side note, it will be interesting because we've had a boy's name picked out from before Brooklynne was born and after I had Brooke as I held her in my arms in the hospital with so many emotions of the miracle of child birth and our Heavenly Father's plan running through me, that name came to my mind and for a very brief moment I felt like there was still another child that was to join our family but just as fast as it came to my mind I dismissed it due to the fact that I wanted to be finished having children and to call my family complete and I never mentioned of it until Matt and I laid in the bed the other night discussing the subject on the front burner. It just goes to show that the Lord's plan for us and our families just might not be on the same page as what we feel is best for ourselves all of the time but in the end we all know that the Lord knows best, it's just having the faith to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, might ,mind and strength. So here we go...to be continued~

October 1, 2013 I found great comfort and reassurance over the weekend at the General Relief Society conference, especially when our prophet spoke to the sisters. I took notes and the words that stood out to me were: "When fear replaces our faith, remember to pray. Prayer speaks peace to the soul, it is the anchor source of strength. Pray and be believing, pray and wait, God answers all prayers sooner or later. Through our difficult times, our Heavenly Father is always there beside us. Listen to sweet whispering of the Spirit. Remember not my will but thine be done, our Heavenly Father is all knowing, He is wiser than known." Then today as I read an article from the Ensign that I picked up from my night stand to read, again the words of our dear prophet, "decisions determine our destiny. The wisdom of God often appears as foolishness to men. But the greatest simple lesson we can learn in mortality is that when God speaks and a man obeys, that man will always be right. Our Heavenly Father knows us. He is there for us. If we seek Him, we will find Him. If we ask, He will answer. When we do our part, He is sure to do His part in pointing the way and answering the question, "Whither shall we go?"

October 12, 2013 It was nice to look back to read my last posts quotes from our dear prophet Thomas S Monson. I'm struggling a bit, life is a bit overwhelming with this knowledge of baby number seven that is supposed to be joining our family- with everything else that this mom of six has on her plate. Matt has been putting in some hefty hours at work, hasn't been getting home until after mid night many days this week (last night it was 2 am.) Holding down the fort with active children and their commitments with sports, activities, ect. being a one man (or rather woman) show on the chauffeur end gets a bit tire-some. Then you throw in my calling with the primary president and busy months (with the primary program, fall festival then new year prep I'm heading up, a lot is involved in these events so it's just a combo of everything that's adding up.) I did a bit of math with the baby due date calculator and the most realistic month to me seems the sooner the better as the soonest this little one could be here is the beginning of July, that would give our fam a few months to get into a rhythm with the new addition with less commitments being in the middle of the summer vacation months. It all is throwing me for a loop, when I think about the reality of starting over with the baby mode it kind of scares me, needless to say everything else that goes along with it, nauseousness, sore veins in my legs, tiredness, doc appts, giving birth auuuhhh...not somewhere I would realistically be choosing to go right now with the mode I'm in with our youngest supposed to be starting kindergarten next fall.

November 15, 2013 Well we have been actively moving forward with things, faith in full force. We have attended the temple a few times in the last few months and reality with another one is pleasantly beginning to settle in with anticipation replacing the fears...guess it just took awhile to soak it all in. Matt has been around to help a lot more in the past little bit. He bought another home to flip but now has a crew that does the majority of all the work to eliminate him working around the clock, the other half help has been a blessing especially with the fall sports and as the holidays approach us. Now we are just playing the waiting game....hope we aren't waiting too long, I'm not too patient. November 19, 2013 Looks like no luck in the baby department this month, I am so impatient! I know the Lord has his own time frame...but I am still impatient, if another one is supposed to join our fam, let's just get him/her here already is my thinking. I feel like every month that goes by is just prolonging the inevitable.

December 4, 2013 On Thanksgiving my older sister Tracey and Jon made the announcement that they are EXPECTING! It was a surprise and shock to all, as it will be six years in between this baby and Brock who will be 6 and the time of delivery and Tracey will be a few days shy of 40. Very exciting news for them and their family!!! It does make me feel better knowing that I won't be the oldest in my family to have their last child :)...I suppose that is if we do indeed get pregnant here some time soon. (It's so foreign to me since I'm getting older it's taking longer, with the other ones- we just decided it was time to get pregnant and it happened so soon, actually I guess with Brooke it took about three months now that I think about it anyways...) It was funny when Tracey and Jon made their announcement at dinner with the pic of the ultrasound, mom and dad were happy-shocked-excited and they were like (jokingly)...is there anyone else who needs to make an announcement??? Then they referred to all of the other siblings except for Matt and I, we were just laughing so hard inside since everyone thinks we are done with the baby stage (since I'm pretty sure we've made that quite certain and clear in the past since that WAS our plan.) But as we all know, the Lords plan doesn't always line up with our plan we think we have...I was thinking that if we would have gotten pregnant right away when we first started trying that Tracey and I would have been expecting around the same time, wouldn't have that been the shocker, two announcements at Thanksgiving dinner...ha, ha! I'm just hoping that after we get pregnant that everyone doesn't feel that we got pregnant to follow in the tradition of my other sisters because believe you me...if that was my plan I would have been pregnant a long time ago. It's all good. I guess we just have to know for ourselves and that's all that matters. It was funny also on Thanksgiving, Leah's youngest Daemmin was having a hard time fussing since he was ready for nap time and Shae my sis in law asked me don't you miss the baby stage? I said, "no" I don't...completely honest, no craving here to go back to changing diapers, being up all night, and fussing babies but when it's the right thing to do, it's the right thing to do and I would do it ten times over again if I knew I was supposed to and it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't trade my children and the love they have expanded my heart to for anything! Sure raising children isn't always easy and many times it's a selfless act with many countless hours serving them but I love it, every minute of it and especially with our last two Josh and Brooklynne all of those baby moments even the less appealing ones...I soaked them all in since from experience I knew they would disappear just as fast as they appeared. These are precious spirit children of our Heavenly Father that come into our lives that He has trusted us to raise in this mortal world, that's quite the privilege and honor indeed!!! Bring on the babies...

December 5, 2013 Almost forgot, a little side note. We were decorating the Christmas tree the other week and Ellie out of the blue is literally freaking out and saying, "who is missing, it feels like someone is missing from our family," then she checks to see if everyone is there and helping and insists that it feels like someone is missing. Then our whole family is in the elevator the night before Thanksgiving going down to go swimming in the hotel that we were staying at in Idaho and Bre says the same thing, "this is so strange, it feels like someone is missing," both of the girls are dumb-founded and are like are we supposed to have another baby in our family or something???! Matt and I just look at each other and smile....

March 25, 2014 Well, it happened...we are four weeks along now! It took awhile, it was kind of frustrating at times since I was just wanting to move on with our growing family then not understanding why I was so highly prompted and it took longer than anticipated to get pregnant. All in good time though right? Right now as far as I am able to determine via help from the web and baby due date trackers the due date for Jackson Baby # 7 is December 2nd, so right before Christmas we will have a new addition and a very special Christmas gift for our family. I will update more when I have more time on my hands. So far just feeling sore in the bust area, lacking a bit of energy and food sounds blah, blah, blah...

April 4, 2014 Week 5: Feeling like there is a pit in the bottom of my stomach most of the time, still a manageable feeling which is good since it's Spring Break with the kids next week and we have a few fun things we have planned for our "stay-cation" as a fam which include going to the Space Needle, riding The Duck and doing the Spring Puyallup Fair.

September 5, 2014: Well just now posting again, by the way I did get sick this round...very sick, all day nauseousness with the throwing up, smell sensitivity- same old, same old, yuck, yuck and more yuck. Oh and by the way did I mention we are having another little Girl? Right when summer break hit around 17 weeks I felt good again, like a normal functioning human being which was a true blessing to be able to enjoy summer with all of the kiddos home from school. Summer was busy as usual, we just got all six back to school. We survived through all of the school shopping, appointments, supply lists, fees paid, registrations, bus and new school time schedule adjustments, ect with life in preschool. elementary school, middle school, seminary and high school. A few weeks back I took a peek at the pregnancy timer at the right side of our blog and noticed that there are 100 days left to go, now it's 86 days so let the count down begin to Baby Girl Jackson. I'm not quite sure why it seems so strange that we are actually pregnant and having another addition joining our family this round...the reality of it all seems hard to believe for some reason. Although I look like I'm ready to deliver any day now and 86 days seems like a long ways away, I suppose in comparison to the 280 days in an entire pregnancy we are well on our way to giving birth here in the next few months. I have to admit the topic of "so when are you due," gets a bit old. When I'd like to forget about the topic of pregnancy and how wonderfully comfortable it is with all of the added perks, aches and pains that come along with the joy ride :) I know it's just conversation, "so how are you feeling, and when are you due again?"..I think many people are just shocked at how large I get when I'm pregnant when in reality I'm no larger than I've been with any of my other ones at this stage of the game :) it's just what my body does. Never been that cute preggo mom who thrives on how wonderful pregnancy is who is exercising and running marathons until the last month. I'm lucky if I can physically make it through a trip to the grocery store and back towards the end. I was however humbled with our 4th, Mr Spencer when I was probably complaining too much at eight months and counting. I managed to shatter my ankle with nine breaks simply walking down the front porch, after surgery with plates, screws, pins and who knows what then being pregnant in a cast and on crutches...I nearly forgot about being pregnant all together. Needless to say when people now ask me how I'm feeling, "good" is a perfect answer at this point in the game, I've learned that things can ALWAYS be worse! In my patriarchal blessing, it says I was excited in heaven and wanted to come to earth earlier but in the wisdom of my Heavenly Father I was held back to come at this time. Could not imagine being a pioneer and traveling by foot while being pregnant like our ancestors, I would not have lasted long for sure! I have always been an impatient person, good thing my Heavenly Father knows me better than I know myself. Anyways, we haven't given much thought to the babies name, we need to- but haven't had time to sit down to tackle through our options to naming our little girl.

February 25, 2015
Whoa, it's been a whirlwind! Yes, baby arrived healthy and happy and we could not be more thrilled and happy that she is here, she has joined our family and now we have a family of nine :) We named our precious bundle Saydee Alyssa Jackson. She is such a sweet, cutie pie. Can I just say that it came down to the wire with naming her? With so many voices and opinions with the kids and such, naming this little one was not an easy task...either they knew someone with the suggested name already or there were 50 other girls they knew with the same name. Needless to say, she is named and we are happy with the name we decided on with our newest addition Miss Saydee baby. She weighed in at 7 lbs 9 ounces, 20 1/4" long and debuted in at 8:28am on December 2, 2014 at Valley Med Center in Renton Wa. Being born in the middle of the Holidays, I've got to admit it's been a bit of a whirlwind, as just now being Feb 25th (Saydee being three months in a week or so) you can see that there is not too much down time to sit and write or blog about the details of life as I am in the midst and caught up in enjoying it most of the time...I'll fill you in on some of the details of labor and delivery day while I can still remember them, how does that sound? So, I had been in labor the night before starting around 10:00 pm, the contractions started. (I was over due being due on Nov 31st and had quite a few spats of contractions that had started, then turned consistent, I was having to breathe through them but then they stopped- so I was going to wait it out until I knew for sure we needed to head to the hospital. Delivering in Renton and living in Sumner (a 20-25 minute commute with out traffic) I knew I probably shouldn't wait too terribly long because with baby number seven I kind of wanted to make it to the hospital and not to deliver in the car on the way. So as the night and early morning progressed, I knew for sure that I was in labor with the "real thing," these contractions were getting harder to manage and pretty uncomfortable, at two am I leaned over to Matt and told him that I was having hard contractions and that I wasn't sure when we should head in but I'd let him know as they got closer together and were more consistent in time between. Every time I'd get up to use the restroom (which was often being so large with baby), the contractions would be SO INTENSE and get worse...So after a contraction at four am I woke Matt up again and said okay, we should probably head in, it's time. Ellie had planned to stay home with Brooklynne until Grandpa and Grandma Noble arrived from Idaho and the rest of the kids were going to school so we let her know that we were heading out, I made the kids lunches...we had given the thought to dropping Bre and Jarom off at seminary but decided we couldn't wait any longer since after I got up and out of bed the contractions were intensifying and became closer together 2-3 min or so, so they would just have to skip seminary and catch the bus. As we drove to the hospital, every bump and crack Matt drove over made labor worse and the thing we didn't take into account was the early morning traffic, who would have guessed there would be so many people headed to work at five am in the morning! We arrived to the hospital right before six am and were a bit confused on where to go to check in so Matt pulled up and went in to figure it out. They told us to go to the ER since the hospital main door wasn't open to the public yet being so early in the morning so Matt went in and came back with a nurse with a wheelchair to take me in to get admitted. It was so silly checking into the ER, first thing they made me use the restroom in a cup (clearly they had no clue how in actual serious labor I was, turns out many come to the ER who are in false labor.) I had two major contractions in the restroom, then I went back to my kiosk room and another one before the nurse came back to ask me questions, she started in and asked me "so do you think this is it?" I was totally confused on what she was asking, thinking was she asking me if I was done having kids after this, if this was it for us? But she was actually asking me if I thought I was in real labor....after questioning what she meant she said, "I mean do you think you are in labor?" I go, this is my 7th child- I don't think I am, I know I am- otherwise I wouldn't be here! Just then I had another hard contraction and seeing how much pain I was in she decided, um yah' maybe I will skip the questions and just check to see if you are dilated. She checked me, I was at a 6 plus so they wheeled my bed up to labor and delivery, where they never checked me again although I know by the pressure I was feeling and the contractions getting even harder and unbearable that I had to be progressing fast so I said I needed an epidural, they didn't question but called for the anesthesiologist and I was able to get it really fast. (Good thing they didn't check me again since in the past they wouldn't give it to me being too late and me being too dilated that it was time to push.) After getting the epidural, it took awhile for it to numb up my right side so they had to give me a little more but after it that it did the job and it was heavenly! No more unbearable pain. I had an intern come in when I was in hard labor asking me if she could assist Br Biggler in delivery and I completely ignored her at the time being it too much pain so she went out of the room but after I was numb, I asked the nurse to let her know that no problem she could assist. So after Br Biggler got there (I was actually scheduled for a 9 am prenatal appt with him, he wasn't even on call but came in to deliver and it didn't mess his day or appts, it turned out very convenient for all) he checked me, baby's head was right there in sight, they prepped the area and the intern actually delivered the baby with Dr Biggler walking her through and another intern assisting (so there were actually two interns in the room.) All's it took was one push and baby girl Jackson was welcomed into the world at 8:28 am in the morning. (I didn't even know if I was pushing enough or not, apparently I was and amen to the epidural!) After delivering with the epidural, Matt says, "that was easy, it wasn't a big deal this time with the labor and delivery with the epidural, we can do this again!" Ummmm, think again honey, seven is out lucky number! But one thing I've learned through all of this is to never say never :) We named her Saydee Alyssa but it took awhile for us to decide on how to spell her name, there were just so many alterations to spelling. We decided on Saydee because it was clear on how to pronounce it and it didn't have sad or die in the spelling :) like the typical Sadie way of spelling, Matt went home to pick up Brooklynne and Ellie to come to the hospital, he also picked up Josh and Spencer early from school before lunch time and left Jarom and Bre at school (Jarom had a bad cold that we didn't want to spread to baby and Bre had a Drill Team Park and Recs performance with little girls to do the basketball half time so she had to stay in school in order not to miss it.) Grandpa and Grandma Noble were able to come straight to the hospital from Idaho which made it nice. They arrived around 1:00 followed by many family members visiting through out the day and even into the late night with Grandpa Jackson and Uncle Dave being the last visitors of the night at 11:15pm. Grandpa got so comfortable, he wanted to stay the night with us watching Christmas movies on TV :) too funny...Welcome to the world and our family Miss Sweet Saydee, you were anxiously anticipated by your whole family and very well loved by all!

A fun camo carrying case for his new scriptures.
Happy Baptism Day Joshua Glen!
For Josh's Baptism, we kept the theme a secret from him for a surprise on his special day but we went with a whole treasure hunt theme being..."Baptism is the Key that unlocks the Treasure of Eternal Life."
For the goodie bags we used treasure boxes and inside the little treasure boxes we put some fun treasures including: a picture of our Savior Jesus Christ, then candy rings, necklaces, jewels (jolly ranchers) and candy gold coins all inside of some confetti paper loot, tied with a little key to unlock their boxes.
We took a spin off of the talk we found online:

The Compass represents the navigation from the "Gift of the Holy Ghost" received at baptism and the map being "The Words of Christ found in Scriptures and direction from our Prophets." We used the treasure box to encase Josh's eight year old baptism gifts being his first set of nice leather bound scriptures (his triple combo) and his CTR ring.
The Cake Table all set. We rented and catered out Farrelli's Party Place here in town for the gathering celebration after the baptism. It was a complete life saver for me and so perfect. It accommodated everyone well, the kids had room to run around and play and plenty of seating. Alls we had to do was set up what decorations we wanted before hand and pick up the cake, simple...simple and no cleaning before or after, so nice (especially since I had 15 days before baby's due date.)
Spencer, Bre, Kennan and Emily all set for some food!
Lots of Candids. Jeana, Tracey and Stephanie (all Josh's aunts.)
Mom, Aunt Ginger and Shae (it was nice that my brother Wesley and his family were able to make the trip over, they have always been all over the states in the past. Now being located in Spokane and closer they were able to make the trip over for Josh's special day which was very nice of them to show their love and support.)
The little Boy Table, Jaxn, Blake and Brock (Josh's cousins.) So cute!

Smiley Girls- Pieper, Ireland and Lydia, all Josh's cousins.
More Aunt (Sarah and Ashley) and Cousin Candids Crew, Levi and Elizabeth.
Our neighbors and friends the Sassers with the new twins and Braffords.
Food getting prepped on the serving tables.
Jill and Brooke collecting gold treasure coins.
 The Party Crowd.
The first ones in line for food, Josh leading the line of course.
 Dishing up the plates.
By the time they were all served up, everyone was quite hungry and ready to EAT! Grandpa Noble with Brooke and Dad and Jarom.
Aunt Ginger and Cary brought my cousin Tony's kids, can't believe how much they'd grown since I'd seen them last.
Eat up everyone, fill those tummies :) Josh with Grandpa Jackson and Mitchell and Uncle Jake and Uncle Mike with little Levi.
 Our Eight Year Old.
Time for some cake and icecream, make a wish Mr B-day/Baptism Boy! Josh with a few of the Tuck girls being Bailee, Noelle and Gracie.
Happy Birthday to You!
May all your wishes come true...I just love how excited the little ones get about singing "Happy Birthday" and cake/icecream time!
 Time to cut that cake!
Thank you everyone, near and far and for all of the love shown in Josh and our families direction. We love all of you and Josh felt super special, very loved and like a new clean member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on his baptism day just as expected.
