Fort Spencer

December 22, 2008 Spencer was pretty proud of his fort, he worked pretty hard at it (with a little help from the older kids and dads shoveled snow.)
Are we sick of the snow yet? Certainly NOT!!! It's been a lot of fun to be snowed in, the kids have been in and out a bazillion times playing in the beautiful white stuff. I did a bit of baking with Ellie and Spencer today, it's been quite relaxing...it's kinda nice having an excuse not to go anywhere. I think Matt and I will do our last minute Christmas shopping tomorrow night before Christmas Eve Day, but other than that we're all set for Christmas day so it's been fun on a slower pase these last few snowy days just hanging out with the kids.

Some More Snowy Snow!!!

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW..
and it's still coming down!
December 21, 2008

Last night (Saturday) as the snow fell from the sky in buckets, our fam dared the snow (that felt more like ice falling from the sky) and went out on foot in search for a hill to slide down on the sleds with. Our neighborhood is totally FLAT which is great except when it snows, we walked down a ways towards the industrial buildings and found the perfect sloped parking lot. The kids had such a fun time thanks to dad who gave them a nice push for good measure each trip down the hill.

WEEEEEE!

Bre pushing chilly Spencer.

Jarom with his robber mask.
Dad pulling the kids up the hill.
Bre sliding down the way.
Matt and the older kids stayed out way longer than the younger two and myself. As the wind kicked up, the snow was just too cold blowing on the little boys faces! Josh and Spencer were content little campers watching the snow fall from inside the warmth of the front window.

We got a phone call last night with the news of no church today, needless to say it was welcoming news...not only because I hadn't planned my primary lesson yet but it gave our family the chance to stay up late on a Saturday night and to camp out in the family room watching Christmas movies all night with out the stress of 9am church in the morning. We had fun in the snow today as well, we built snowmen (the snow finally stuck well enough) and forts and threw around a few snow balls with the kids. Matt shoveled the driveway and walk, he likes to do that- I think that's how he gets his snow fill for the year. It's still snowing being 5pm, I think it has pretty much been snowing since noon yesterday...that's got to be in the record books for around here??? Matt went back out in the snow with the kids, they were excited to show dad the pond down the street, Josh is still napping so mom is blogging. Looking forward to a white Christmas, only four more days!

Look what the Snow brought in!

Snow Baby Girl Mazie Lynn
December 18, 2008
Matt's bother Dave and Stacie had their baby yesterday, Wed. December 17th around 4:30pm-ish at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. Little Mazie Lynn Jackson weighed 8'-6oz and she was 19 1/2" long. She is a VERY sweet and adorable little thing, simply perfect...We had fun visiting with the happy family last night at the hospital. We timed it right and the kids got to see their cousins as well so it was good.
Congratulations & welcome to the world baby Mazie.Mazie with mama.Daddy Dave helping Gavien hold his new sister.

Since then, we have gotten quite a bit more snow...it's looks like it's blizzarding out there right now, BUUURRRR it's chilly! Here's another one w/ Ellie & her friend Madison...just got an update in, no school tommorrow either. Looks like Winter break came early this year!

Christmas Is Approaching!

December 16, 2008
Monday evening, we had the Noble family Christmas party at the Federal Way Church bldg. Still being a school night & since Winter Break hadn't started, they were promptly starting dinner at 6:00pm. Well, unfortunately Matt was still in the paint booth at the shop finishing painting a car at 6pm. So all of the kids and I were set ready to go for a bit, it gave me a chance to snap a photo of them under their stockings before we left the house. Matt is a busy man, bless his big heart...he's on the go all day long! We ended up getting to the party at around 6:45pm, a tad late but we didn't miss much and there was still plenty of food to go around. Rod & Wendys fam were in charge this year and they planned an Italian theme w/ a nice lasagna dinner. The numbers were a bit sparcer than normal at the party this year but we still had a nice group of Nobles. Traditional Pinata Action, Jarom was getting worried he wouldn't get a turn at bat this year. With both pinatas they started youngest to oldest. The first one didn't last too long but the second "Super Man" pinata did it's job and no need to worry Jarom....even Uncle Charlie (who at the ripe old age of 19 got a swing at it, yep one swing at it was busted open!) And yes, he will be 19 when he & Leah's 2nd child is born as well...what a young daddy!

Aunt LaRae wasn't able to make it this year yet she lovingly sent the pinatas and loot over with Uncle Doug so she'd keep her tradition ALIVE! Thanks Aunt LaRae~.
It's always wonderful to see the kids great grandparents G & G Noble being the initial off-spring holders of the great Noble family. As I sat with my granparents with the opportunity to chat with them a bit, I reminded g-pa who I and the kids were (with age his memory is sadly slipping) but he is the cutest g-pa ever! He asked and so which man is your husband? And as I pointed Matt out to him, g-pa says..."he's a good looking man." I responded "yah, I know that's why I married him," Yep, strictly on the looks...just kidding honey! We finally got to meet Mike (my sister Jeanas other half,) we were supposed to get to meet him over Thanksgiving as Jeana was going to bring him to CDA to meet the fam...but that didn't happen although they both regretted the fact that they didn't set their differences aside and inturn Jeana couldn't put her cell phone down the entire weekend, she was either texting or talking to him. Jeana and Emily seem happy & he seems like a nice guys so we shall see what happens. They are all actually going to CDA for Christmas. We can't believe how fast little David (Leah & Charlies little man) is growing! He is such a happy camper and content little guy so this is a rare face, it was getting late and he was ready to call it a night. I was happy to see that he's been using the blankie that I made for him when he was born. Too sweet!(#1 Happy Spencer & Dad)
After getting home and tucking the other kids in bed, I went down stairs to catch the 10 oclock news mainly for a weather report and to see if they had posted a school delay for the kids in the morning. Spencer hung out with Matt upstairs at the computer desk while Matt was down- loading some things. Spencer drew two little pictures.
(#2 Mad Spencer and Dad)
I happened to get a kick out of the mean looking faces, of course the given mad mouths but then the eye brows at a slant really make them look like mad faces! Very detailed and funny Spenc!

Staying Warm This Weekend

December 14, 2008
The Old Cannery
We visited the Old Cannery in our lovely town of little ole' Sumner Saturday. It really is a fun place for the whole family over many holidays.
They had horse and carriage rides and Santa pics. this weekend both of which were free. The lights over the bridge were really fun to see as we drove over.
Moodolph the red nosed COW?
JP Pathches my absolute childhood FAVORITE!
As we looked through the the ten acres of fabulous furniture, Josh was content to stand on this adorable little kid recliner chair watching the train town. We had to pry him off of it when it was time to go. We found a few pieces of furniture, including a really cool grandfatherish clock (but totally made to look old fashion) that I will dream about...the pieces actually match some of our furniture that we ended up with from Matts grandparents, I'll dream for now but maybe some day! Ellie on the other hand really needs a bed and a dresser, poor little girl...she's just kind of been making do with a few mattress piled on the floor to resemble a bed and plastic bins for her clothes in her closet. So she will be priority & first and for most! That with some much needed paint in our home will be on our NEW YEARS RESOLUTION list.

The Girls Friends B-day at MC'Y D'S
We went to the Sauleyce's b-day party at McDonalds after our visit to the Old Cannery.

SNOW!
And Lo & Behold, the prayers of our children were answered...it started to snow on our way home from the party! Yippy, it'll be fun to have some of this beautiful white stuff over the holiday season!!! Maybe we'll have a white Christmas this year, or is that too unheard of around here???

WARD CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
The kids sang in the program at our Christmas party at church over the weekend, my kids are in the picture above somewhere. We brought our neighbors the Thomas family w/ us & some of their kids went up and joined ours on stage, it was cute.

Josh is dragging Ellie down the stairs after their performance.

Spencer leaving the stage.

There's Jarom as well.

MR. INDEPENDENT
PJ time & Decisions, Decisions....I took these pj pictures last week. Josh and his two year old independence comes out in the evening hours after bath time when he chooses his own pjs (of course after throwing them all on the floor.) Then he gives every effort to dress himself saying "I do it, I do it," until he realizes he needs moms help most of the time. My how it would save time if he'd just let me dress him from the beginning, I get to learn patience as he learns to dress himself. Decision made & all dressed!

PINK PRINCESS
Our Wintery Pink Fairy Princess.
JOSH'S 1st FRIEND B-DAY PARTY
Josh went to his first friend b-day party (he's been to his share of cousin parties) but this was his first FRIEND party, the little neighbor boy Mitchell down the street is a month apart from Josh, he had his 2nd b-day party this afternoon & Spencer and Josh both got to go.Josh taking his turn pulling the string on Mr. Curious George Pinata.
