Winchester Bay VACA 2020

June 20-23, 2020
 We made it into Oregon!
We had all planned to go to the Sand Lake Dunes (which are closer and less advanced but due to covid- last minute they didn't open up on time and so all of the Jackson's had to restructure our traditional Sand Dunes Trip and head to Winchester instead.) After figuring out new housing we were set to leave on the same dates, double the hours in the car for all but we were determined!
Matt and the boys had only spent the entire month prior fixing up this new rig (hauling trailer for all of the toys) so they were set and ready to put it to use. Matt bought it new and then added electrical, insulation, lighting, carpet, runners, cabinets and such to make it look pro.
I didn't get too great of pics, but here's one with Josh in it.
We rented a fun house this round on a nice river where the kids had a great time kayaking on. Josh was the first to hit the water.
Bre was the second one to be rowing her boat.
Then it was Ellie, who jumped on the baby kayak- which worked...it just got her a bit wetter in the water than the others.

Saydee was super cute, she full on moved in for the four day stay. She spent the evening hanging up her wardrobe in the closet where she kept her clothes.
Bre's special friend Andrew tagged along for the trip this year.
Setting up camp our first day.

The first day in is always an ordeal working out the kinks and getting everything and everyone's ride's situated.
Our boys Jarom, Spencer and Josh do real well on the sand in their quads. They all had a good time and managed to stay safe out there on the dunes.
Matt's older brother Dave Bergman came on the fam vaca. He had a good time as did the fam getting to know him a bit better. It's funny since he- out of all the bros looks most like Cheryl.
Saydee loved the beach as always and could have moved right in on the sand front.
Brooklynee is a natural on the sand in her quad, she didn't get off of that thing all day long!
These big boys- Brodie, Matt and Mike spent Father's Day at the Dunes this year (prob no other place they would rather be, so it was fitting...)
The great outdoors thing about the Dunes Vaca is that everyone is at their "El Natrual" state for most of the trip. Many times getting the fam to want to pose for a pic at the end of the long riding day is slim to none, BUT no biggie...I take the candid approach and just get people pictures to show everyone in their element.
Family Meal Time.
Saydee had fun with Grandpa riding and playing with her sand toys with him.
This big hill looks at lot less steep in the pictures. It took a bit of coaxing Josh to get him to ride up it but after he did it once, he was a pro! In reality...Going up it is less intimidating that it looks if that makes sense?
This night, we had a ham roasting in the crock pot all day...it was definitely done when we got back home for the night and melted into pieces in your mouth which was different but actually kinda good!
After heading back home at the end of the trip, we stopped off for Family Pizza Afternoon in town. (Pretty sure we broke the social distancing thing...especially since Bella attended also BUT we were all family so maybe that was an exception?!)
Bye, Bye until our next Trip to the Dunes!

Happy 18th Ellie!

June 12, 2020
Ellie's had quite a bit of celebrating in her honor in the past lil bit and the celebrating isn't quite complete for our now 18 year old senior, we still have her grad party up in a few weeks! We had a nice family quarantine 18th birthday dinner the day after her graduation with her boyfriend Dylan and Grandparents joining. I didn't have the camera handy when she opened her presents but before that her and Dylan got to open their grad presents. The Fun is just beginning...
