Doing the Great Wolf

May 2015
We took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge over Memorial Day Weekend to get away for a few days, it was a fun little staycation with always a sure bit of joy for our family.  The get way started off a bit unsure with Brooklynne and Josh coming down with the flu and fever right before us heading out but with a bit of prayer, time and meds they were able to enjoy themselves to the fullest...thank heavens :) Planning a vaca with nine people in the mix is a bit tricky if you are wanting everyone in attendance to be on the up and up and feeling fine. We stayed in the Grizzly Bear Suite this round and the kids all got the Wolf Pass to save a few pennies in our pocket in the long run so they were able to keep entertained with the lodge's amenities and all it has to offer. The girls had manicures and pedicures at the spa with dad filling in for Jarom when he chickened out for his pedicure appt (Matt's never too manly to miss an opportunity to get his feet fixed.) While the boys won the jack pot once again at the arcade...tradition never fails with Matt in the lead. The boys scored all of the kids some fun souvenirs that actually didn't end up in the trash the next day this time, after cashing in their won tickets in they came home with some water music speakers, lights, lava lamps, head phones, hats and of course stuffed animals for the little girls. The water and slides were thoroughly enjoyed by all, it's great to have fun for all ages...we especially liked the last hour before the water park closed realizing that was the less busiest time where you could pretty much own the slides with no long lines to wait in. Saydee loved every minute of the water just swimming and a' splashing, she's destined to be our little fish for sure! Brooklynne was able to get the royal treatment at Scoops kids spa with a pedicure/manicure/chocolate face mask and makeup/ then sprinkles- she was totally pampered. All of the girls so far have been able to go and experience the Scoops Spa over the years so a fun little tradition we will have to let Saydee do also when she is of age. Well for now, "Cheers" to the Great Wolf to a Howling Good Time, until next time!

Happy Forty-One Matt

May 18. 2015
 Happy, happy Matt!
We surprised Matt and invited some family to over for some KFC, grilled chicken, mashed potatoes with mac and cheese, salad and fruits to celebrate Matt's 41st b-day last Friday evening. Saydee got to help daddy unwrap a few presents.
Jeana and Ben and Kimmie with Jill and Brooke. After dinner, the kids went swimming in the pool and hot tub and then we played a few party games which was fun.

Bre and Emily.
I made Matt an ice cream cake for his b-day. I did up the inside just like a Dairy Queen cake, it was a hit and every bit of it was polished off.
Happy little girls helping Matt... sing happy birthday to him!
Making a wish, cha cha cha, say "hello" to your grandma!
Happy Birthday...and many more!
Outback celebration Sat night with a date out just the two of us.
Late Monday night we celebrated for a third time on Matt's actual b-day. It was a busy one with the last week of Spencer's Little League games before play offs and the first night of Bre's Drivers Ed course.
Hope it's a great year hon! We truly could not ask for a more devoted father and husband in our family. Matt gives his all to us, his church callings and his work to support his family. We are very blessed to have the best of the best! Love you more than we can express or say honey.
