 The Monkies Parents socializing...
Josh had a super fun party and he will officially be SIX this Saturday November 10th.  (We have the big primary program practice with pizza and ice cream sundaes that takes up a big chunk of the day and energy on the parents parts since we happen to be in charge of it, yep it's primary program weekend being this Sunday.) So we had Josh's party early which he was perfectly happy with!  At six years, Josh is a good kid and super cute.  He's earned his self manager badge at school, he is VERY independent as always, he loves music and jamming or dancing out to a beat, he likes to ride his bike, he's outdoorsy, he loves to collect things of many varieties be it rocks, bugs or any small items, he loves to listen to stories, he builds and creates, he loves animals yet he is allergic to most (dogs/cats), he's very into hobbies and craftsmanship, he's a tough cookie a man of few words so he's a little hard to read at times but he's a thinker and a doer and always up to something and a man on a mission, the wheels are always rolling in his head...our adventurous boy!  Happy sixth Joshie~we love our little monkey!!!!

 Josh's Kindergaten Class Halloween Party
A Spooky Hand Filled with Popcorn and Candy Corns.
 Pumpkin Lanterns.
Brooklynne with Snow white and Josh eating his dirt and worms (chocolate pudding, crushed oreos and gummy worms.)
Time to EAT the rest of the Halloween goodies! After decorating cupcakes and filling their cups with dirt and worms, they had some healthy snacks which was refreshing.
Look at all the Great Costumes!  Josh has such a good group of  kindergartners in his class, they are such a fun group of kiddos and so well behaved!
Goofy Faces!
Halloween Evening, time to get in costume!
Josh as our Ninja and Spencer as Charlie Chapman
Ellie the Cat.
Brooke our Bunny and Bre our 80's Gal.
Brooke and her candy stash.
The Young Men in our ward were over the Fall Festival this year so they asked the primary to do carnival booths for the kids which Brooke and I set up with Marianne and her kids before we went to the kindergarten party then Jarom set up the tables and chairs after school with the rest of the YM as the YW put up decorations.  We did the neighborhood trick or treating with the kids this year which was fun and AMAZINGLY ENOUGH the rain was good to us, it only sprinkled as we were out and about in the neighborhood which was so nice!  We planned for the worse with rain boots and umbrellas but we lucked out, it's been so rainy lately.  We had some neighbors that went all out with the Halloween decorations and doing up their homes with the freight. We have a cop that decked out his home with his cop car lights on, all caution roped off, a fake body all bandaged and bloody and the murder weapon a bloody ax on the front porch, a disbatch walkie talkie going off in the back ground, a strobe light, fog machine and other police lights it was pretty impressive and fitting then we had other neighbors who live out on some property in back of our neighborhood that had an old time buggy car with skeletons driving it and smoke filled with a fog machine and a crashed witch on the front of it along with quite a few other Halloween lights and decorations, I need to check Matt's phone to see if any of the pics he took turned out.  Lots of candy to go around!  Bre and Ellie cashed in their candy this year at $2. a lb to support the troops and stockings for the needy through the Molen Orthodontist in Sumner, they earned an extra $1. for coming in costume and another extra $1. for bringing canned food in.  They give the kids a goody bag with toothbrush, floss, lip balm, a calendar, cookies and milk and they get to pick a top from the treasure box if they want to so it makes for a fun event and possibly less cavities...

Saturday Night Pumpkin Carving Party

Saturday October 27th, 2012
 Getting a BIT-O-GOOPY!
DIG ON IN EVERYONE!
The END RESULTS and FINISHED PRODUCTS are in...
Spencer's Silly Toothed Pumpkin, he drew and carved his pumpkin all by his solo self this year.  (He accidentally cut the tooth off so we pinned it back on via a trusty toothpick.)
Brooklynne's Holy Pumpkin, she had fun with the Power Drill Bit.
BreAnna's Happy Jolly Go Lucky Pumpkin.
Jarom's Creepy Black Cat Pumpkin.
Ellie's Quad Faced Pumpkin for all Moods of the Day, she had a face for every angle of her pumpkin this year, very creative indeed...
Josh and his Creepy Goblin Pumpkin.
After we smothered the caved edges and tops with vasoline for that yucko mold protection (since we still had four days until the big pumpkin debut night) we took them to the front porch for display.
Into the oven they went, roasted and seasoned pumpkin seeds.
Ice Cream Sundaes were a good way to top off the festive family night party!
