Doing The Shores at the Ocean

July 28, 2108
We were able to get over to Ocean Shores this Summer with the family. We really do like this tradition with the waves, the sand and the whole ambiance of the feel of the ocean with the air and the seagulls and all! I'd have to say that this trip over it was so fun to see Saydee and to experience her simple joy for the fun of the sand just digging and playing to her hearts content!
Grandma Jackson joined us on our day trip over which was a treat in itself.
We were so used to this years hot summer pretty much every day in the 90's as a standard so when we went to the beach, the temperature was maybe in the 70'...so it was a huge drop for this fam. The older kids were all in their pants and coats, it was funny! It was a very hazzy day and not much sun to see but it sure didn't stop the fun.
Josh is our Kite Man and was out there flying his kite for hours on end.
We enjoyed some good eats at the Shilo Restaurant.
There was a big motorcycle show the Saturday we went to the Ocean, lots of motorcycle daddys and mamas! We had never seen so many motorcycles on the roads.
Before we left for the evening, no traditional trip to the Ocean for our fam is complete with out getting our traffy, ice cream, hoodies and go carts!

The RACE was ON for this crew!
 Ummmmm? No words.
They pretty much had to lock these kids inside the arcade to shoooo them out as the doors were closing. We had a good time enjoying a family fun day!
Some of the kids were hungry and wanted a mid night snack as we rolled back into town so McDonalds was one of the few landmarks open for this craving. Read the caption on Josh's pic above. Lol, they really weren't uncooked...the meat was cooked but the cheese was another story. I guess that's what happens when you order a plain cheese burger at midnight, your cheese will not be melted into your burger...
Oh the memories!
