January and The First week of February~

January Happenings 2017
Our New 2017 Yearly Theme for Mutual and Young Women's is James 1:5.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
It is such a great theme for the year, I absolutely love it!! It is so inspired and fitting for our youth and leaders alike for that matter. We all need to be reminded to lean to the Lord in all our doings for support, direction and advise in prayer by simply ASKING in FAITH.
Our New Beginnings Theme was, "It's a Jungle Out There." Life is like a jungle full of so many unpredictable turns and avenues, not knowing what's around the corner...if a lion, a tiger, a snake will be in our path through our own life jungle journey, we need to turn to our tour guide who has the map for direction the guide us safely home.
We were in a jungle for the evening.
All of the young women ran the show, it was great! The only thing the YW Presidency did was introduce our sweet new Beehives coming in this year and to spotlight them with their talents and favorites presenting them with a goodie basket for them to look forward to coming into join our group! Here's the program below, although (we ended up switching a handful of yw around due to illnesses and last minute commitments, I appreciated the willingness of those that were flexible and filled in for those parts but the outline is as followed to get the jist of things.)

Handouts for Young Women and Refreshments Served

Banana Splits for the refreshments were easy peasy and very fitting to the jungle theme.
The evening was so great and the yw all did such a fabulous job with their parts and inviting the spirit into our meeting. We have such an amazing group of young women, they are such a force for good and example, they will all go so far and do great things! I do love this calling...
Great to be "8" Fireside at church for Brooklynne, can't believe she will be 8 and have the opportunity to be baptized this year...really? So crazy.
Jarom and Bre went to the temple to do baptisms with their friends Maddy, Taylor and Zac and all had a good time. They hit the cheesecake factory on the way home for a slice of heaven to go.
Brooke was excited to start her gymnastics class this season.
I found these cute pics of Saydee with her playing with daddy with her plastic legos, thought they were cute as she's loading up her and dad's fingers up with the big legos- who said they were just for stacking and building? She thinks out side of the box for sure!
For Young Women's this year, we found some super cute tags through etsy that said, This year resolve to "Ask of God, Ask in Faith, Your Reward will be Sweet and Your Testimony Complete!" They fit perfect with some faith charm bracelets we found and a few candy bars coupled in a a bag to give out to the yw for their special days to help celebrate how special they are!
Picking up a B and R Treat of ice cream cones for Josh Brooke and friend Gabby.
Josh's 4th Grade Choir Concert (Combined with the 4th/5th graders) at Daffodil Valley El performed at the SHS PAC.
"The Adventures of Old Joe Clark"
The 4th Graders did a great job on their recorders for numerous songs!
They all did a good job, we especially enjoyed the last performance "Adventure"- the students sang it with so much enthusiasm and confidence.
Here's the entire group of kiddos, what a good looking group!
 Mrs, Crabby Patty Lobster Woman
Josh and Brooke have been getting their art on with drawing via help from you tube and their art sets that Santa brought them. Theie art pieces look great and keep on getting better and better!
So ever since we pulled the plug (passafire) to fill that void, Saydee is very into her "things." Not one item or certain items of choice or in-particularity...just basically everything that is hers. It's kind of out of control...she has to bring everything into bed with her at night and say for instance if she is going to move from the upstairs to the downstairs she thinks she needs to bring everything with her wherever she goes...it's rather strange, her books, her purse, her dolls, stuffed animals, blankets, color crayons...whatever it may be...she gathers her things and brings them with her. I have to draw the line when we go run errands in the car with the amount of stuff she can bring on one trip...not to mentions, she makes A LOT of messes in this process, she can literally have our whole house flipped upside down in no time!
Here's a stack of one instance of her things she brought (all by herself) from the upstairs to downstairs.
Included in that trip are all of these blankets of hers that she moved one night by herself from the upstairs to the downstairs because you know...she couldn't just pick one and bring it, she had to bring all 8!
Brooklynne/Bre at Winter Mini Cheer Camp.
Saydee Caught, Guilty Red Handed!!!
Play Date for Josh and Randall then Brooklynne and Quincy.
 Making Sugar Cookies.
Saydee helped with the decorating with the blue sprinkles.
Saydee loves her baby dolls and to play mommy.
It was great to see the sunshine today! 1/27/17
Time for some bubbles.
Ellie and her friend Madison were showing us their hip hop dance for the dance team from Senior Night and Saydee got in on the action,
BOM Potluck Skits, here's the primary singing Book of Mormon Stories.
Samuel The Laminate.
Saydee had fun decorating daddy's leg with stickers, silly girl.
We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's on Sunday after church for the Superbowl Dinner and low and behold it started to SNOW...it didn't stop there...the kids actually spent the next three days home from school for SNOW DAYS! It was a welcome surprise to all and finally some substantial snow for the kiddos!!!

Snow at Grandma and Grandpa Jackson's in Black Diamond. Brooke with Jill and Ireland, her fav cousins on the Jackson side making some snowballs.
More snow pics to come...
